The Isle Royale Winter Study
A Multi-Media Presentation and Live Performance Featuring Terri Bocklund and Kathleen Heideman Rydholm

Isle Royale Wolves

Wolves and moose are the key players in a life-and-death drama playing out at Isle Royale National Park.  Dr. Rolf Peterson, formerly the lead researcher of the Isle Royale Wolf-Moose study, says wolves serve as willing and eager volunteers to "keep a lid" on the moose population at this secluded, northwoods archipelago.  The relationship between the wolves and moose on Isle Royale has become the subject of the world's longest-running predator-prey study, now in its 6th decade.

The Isle Royale Winter Study examines the essential interconnectedness of the components hanging in the balance at this unique and isolated biosphere with the most up-to-date information available.  Terri Bocklund and Kathleen Heideman Rydholm both served as Artists in Residence at Isle Royale, and together they bring live music, poetry, artworks, and stories to this fascinating multi-media presentation.
